Although he was due to take the stage in Nashville on Sunday night, Bobby Brown instead flew to Los Angeles the day after the death of his ex-wife, Whitney Houston. Brown arrived around 9 p.m. at LAX airport with a large entourage of people. “Bobby had a blank stare and looked exhausted,” said an observer. “His friends seemed concerned about him and they surrounded him as they walked through the airport.” Asked why Brown decided to leave his tour with New Edition to fly to L.A., his agent Jeff Strom told PEOPLE, “His love for his daughter and his daughter being in the hospital. He wants to go be with his daughter.”

Now call me crazy but after your ex-wife of 15 years dies suddenly and your daughter was with her, and you know how close their relationship was….call me crazy but shouldn’t he had of boarded a plane ASAP. I’m only writing this to say that I think Bobby Brown and his daughter’s relationship may have been strained to say the least. He has moved on and had another child and well we know how kids from broken marriages are, they choose sides. Bobbi was always by her mothers. Bobby Brown didn’t leave his tour when he knew his daughter lost her mother, he only left when she was hospitalized for the second time. Come on now, no show could keep me away from my childs side during the hardest day of her life!
