A quick look at my A's calendar at work drove home a cold, heard reality: If you're a die-hard A's fan, the 2008 calendar is cursed. The Sport Illustrated cover jinx has nothing on the 2008 Oakland Athletics calendar sold by jfturner.com . Who's on the cover of the bad mojo calendar? Mark Ellis, Dan Haren, Nick Swisher and Eric Chavez. Haren and Swish are long gone, Chavvy is on the DL again and Ellis is probably going to hit the road as a free agent. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/12/pirates-on-verge-of-signing-bobby-crosby.html I think this would be a smart move, good competition for Cedeno, and Crosby is versatile SS, 3B, and some 2B, i mean former 1st rd pick and rookie of the year in the AL he has shown he has power, but hopefully he can stay healthy... prob only a one year deal so he can rebound. Well hopefully he can rebound here in pittsburgh!
