Bobby Hamilton Jr. entered 2004 as a favorite to win the Busch Series championship. He had seven top-fives and 12 top-tens, but the team did not win a race. After racing at Michigan with a 29th place finish, Hamilton Jr. was released after he announced he was going to the Nextel Cup Series with PPI Motorsports.
