An article on April 15, 'Poison pen plot...' reported claims on Russian TV of a fictitious plot to kill the exiled businessman Boris Berezovsky, allegedly invented to support his UK asylum claim. We had not intended to suggest there was any truth in the allegations. A 2010 libel case brought by Mr Berezovsky found the claims to be false and the court awarded £150,000 damages. We apologise for not making this clear.
