NEW YORK (AFP) -- Kevin Garnett's jump shot at the buzzer lifted Boston to a 107-105 NBA overtime victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday. Paul Pierce scored a season-high 33 points, and had all of Boston's points in overtime until Garnett's final shot. The Knicks double-teamed Pierce on the final play, leaving Garnett open to seal the win. "I knew they were going to sort of follow Paul and he's going to draw a lot of attention," Garnett said, "and I just had to make the shot." The good news for fans of the Boston Celtics is that Kevin Garnett is back playing and is no longer in pain. The bad news is except for the occasional moment here and there the “ Big Ticket ” has yet to start playing the way he has throughout his career. Garnett missed the last part of the season as well as the NBA Playoffs as he had injured his right knee. Garnett had off-season surgery that corrected the problem and took away the pain, however Garnett still has been a tad off all season long. The Celtics are now 9-4 and could very ... Read Full Story

The Boston Celtics have a serious case of the “ Hometown Friday Blues ” going on as for the third straight week they lost a home game on a Friday night. This defeat was by far the worst as defending Eastern Conference Champions the Orlando Magic dominated the game from the first quarter on. The Magic held the vaunted Boston offense to just 34.5% (30-87) from the floor for the game and an embarrassing 10.5% (2-19) from outside the arc as they defeated the Celtics 83-78. Vince Carter looking like he was in his salad days had a “ Vinsanity ” type performance with ... Read Full Story

Have we all read enough regarding the Celtics struggles of late? I know I can barely get my fingers on the keyboard to write about it anymore. Is it because we have a better finger on the pulse of our team? Is it because the green-team has offered us little more...
