Boy bands are pop groups, made of boys, duh! Like Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, these bands usually enjoy a significant amount of time in the limelight, before totally disappearing off the face of the earth. They're mostly appealing to young girls, and a new boy band seems to surface every few years, only to disappear like the boy bands before them.

Boy Bands are pretty much good at two things: making teenage girls swoon, and disappearing without a trace. Every generation has their boy band or two, and for a brief period of time they are what every girl wants, and what every boy pretends to hate, but really wants to be.
