Brad Pitt: Still not speaking from the grave (Or: Channelling Chuck Berry)

Okay, this one is not exactly new but this is a Quote Of The Day post…

… and I’ve used stuff written & said by people like Mark Twain, Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde – dead folks, basically…

… so, I don’t see why I couldn’t use something that was said two weeks back.

Wait.

This is my bloody blog and I’ll bloody well do what I bloody well want to do.

So, here’s your QOTD, with my thanks to Jon Stewart and (this episode of) the Daily Show. Brad Pitt is talking about the way baseball is run – and that, just because a game has been run in a certain manner forever and ever, this doesn’t mean you couldn’t improve on things…

… and then he comes with a very nice analogy.

Enjoy:

‘If we invented the automobile today, would we invent a car – would we say: I know, we’ll run it on a finite fossil fuel, we’ll export half a trillion dollars of our GDP, we’ll spend hundreds of billions of dollars on our military to protect our interest… and it will pollute the environment?’
