Brady Quinn's rebirth as Cleveland's starting quarterback is already deeply troubled. After one game. Quinn, who lost his job 10 quarters into the season and got it back five weeks later, inherited an offense with few playmakers and no direction or identity. In his return on Monday night, Quinn's seventh career start ended with his sixth loss, a defeat that left him visibly shaken afterward. He wasn't upset about losing to Baltimore or his two interceptions, one of which was returned for a back-breaking touchdown. Quinn was distraught by his low hit on Terrell Suggs, a collision that injured the linebacker and led to ... Read Full Story

Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn says Notre Dame would be making a mistake if it fires coach Charlie Weis. Quinn, who played two seasons for Weis with the Fighting Irish, believes it would be a "horrible decision" if the school makes a coaching change. Notre Dame is 6-5 heading into its regular-season finale at Stanford. Weis is 35-26 in five seasons at his alma mater. Quinn said there have been a "lot of circumstances" that have led to Notre Dame's national slide. If Weis is indeed fired, Quinn said he would love to play for his former coach again. Weis was New England's offensive ... Read Full Story

If LeBron James truly believes he can help the Cleveland Browns, coach Eric Mangini has an orange helmet waiting for him. "I think he should come on down," Mangini said. The NBA superstar, who was an All-State wide receiver in high school, said Tuesday night that if he put the time and commitment into it, he could be a good football player. Mangini agreed, calling James "a freak athletically" and said the 6-foot-8, 260-pounder could be dangerous at tight end, wide receiver or even outside linebacker. Quarterback Brady Quinn also heard about James' football fetish. He would love to have a target to throw ... Read Full Story

Okay, so I'll be the first to admit. Brady Quinn did not have a good game statistically. Six of 19 for 90 yards is not good in any league by any standards. Certainly Quinn was off on a lot of throws all night. To be honest, my biggest criticism of him was that he didn't dink and dunk enough. That may sound strange considering the biggest knock on him was that he dinked and and dunked too much and didn't go downfield enough. On Thursday, he did...

During the 2007 NFL Draft, as Quinn waited for nearly six hours in the Aaron Rodgers Memorial Green Room to hear his name called, then-girlfriend and former Miami of Ohio soccer player Lindy Singler loyally sat by his side as one team after another passed on the Notre Dame...
