If you have loved TGR long time, you might remember this PN post from last year concerning USC senior, Brandis Raley-Ross. In this TGR repost, I diagnose BRR with what I believe troubles him…
- It is my humble opinion that South Carolina Senior, Brandis Raley-Ross, has an inferiority complex. I know, R.A., what the hell is wrong with you? Should you really be diagnosing folks with mental issues? The quick answer to that is ‘no’, but when you hear my explanation, you will surely agree, or you might need to come take a little time on my big leather couch.
According to my best source, Wikipedia…”An inferiority complex, in the fields of psychology and psychoanalysis, is a feeling that one is inferior to others in some way. Such feelings can arise from an imagined or actual inferiority in the afflicted person. It is often subconscious, and is thought to drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extreme Schizotypal (I have no idea what this word means) behavior, or both.”
My first point, why does he have 2 last names? It always is strange to me why a man has a hyphenated last name. I always hear that a dude wants to honor another dude, not his dad, that helped raise him or something. If this is the fact, why wouldn’t you just change your name to your “real” dad’s last name?
Why hang on to the loser’s last name if the dirty S.O.B was not there for you in the first place? Of course, I have no idea if this is the case for Brandis. There are plenty of explanations of why he is choosing to use this” double name”. The answer I am choosing to believe? He lives by the motto, “I am so nice, I was named twice!” Brandis feels that he looks to be more of a man if it takes you a few seconds more to say his name than other fella’s. He could care less that his name is easily mistaken for a woman’s name when the hostess at Ruby Tuesday’s says his table is ready. It does not faze him when the USC athletic dept. has to raffle off a date with “cocky”, their hideous mascot, to pay for the extra lettering on all of his uniforms. No, poor ol’ Brandis only cares that he does not look like he is less a man than one of the other boys.
If that didn’t convince you that we are working with a sick puppy, maybe this won’t either. Brandis was named the 2008-09 SEC Sixth Man of the Year. Remember what Wikipedia said, “drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate”. Brandis is so ill(not in a good way) that he is willing to come off the bench for the Cocks(laugh every time I type that) in order to show the world that Brandis Raley-Ross is a man baby! He wants you to know that Raley-Ross is no less a man than any of you! To borrow a quote from Oklahoma State head Football Coach Mike Gundy, “I’m a man! I’m Raley-Ross!”…Go Cats!-
