Contrary to what you may have read on the internet, Brandon Davis is not dead – at least not the one you’re thinking of. Hollywood socialite Brandon Davis did not die in a Las Vegas gas station explosion, contrary to internet rumors that were swirling around this weekend.
The confusion started after news that “Brandon Davis, a 26-year-old,” was confirmed dead yesterday in a Vegas gas station explosion. The thing is, it was a different Brandon Davis.
Brandon Davis, the actor and socialite, is very much alive. His real name is Brandon Zarif and he’s not 26 years old.
Last Sunday, a gas station exploded in Vegas and investigators confirmed that they had found a body inside. The big explosion destroyed a mini-mart on the property but didn’t the stations fuel tanks.
For a week, investigators attempted to identify the victim. By Friday night, the Clark County Coroner’s Office confirmed to a news station in Las Vegas that the man was a 26-year-old named Brandon Davis. By Saturday, of course, Twitter was ablaze with questions about whether or not this was THE Brandon Davis.
The real Brandon Davis was born in 1979. He was the longest-running star on MTV’s Undressed and later played the role of Bobby Deaver in Even Stevens. He also played Andrew Novelli in “First Monday”. His last credited appearance was in NCIS.
Again, Brandon Davis is alive. Nothing more to see here.
