Brandon Davis is alive
The rumors that socialite Brandon Davis died in a gas station explosion in Las Vegas last Sunday turned out to be false.
A Brandon Davis did die in that incident but wasn’t the same person that most people know — the heir to an oil fortune who dated model-actress Mischa Barton and had made unflattering references to Lindsay Lohan.
The Davis, 26, who died had lived in Las Vegas. The Davis who was supposed to be dead is 31 years of age and is not a Vegas resident.
Celebrity news outlet TMZ and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton were the first to spread news of Davis’ death. Last Saturday the Internet was abuzz with discussions and speculations whether it was really the socialite Davis who had died.
But after the official news from Vegas came out, all the conjectures had ended and the news outlets that had published the accounts withdrew their initial reports and even apologized.
