The Chicago Bears have announced that rookie safety Brandon Hardin will be placed on injured reserve.
Hardin injured his neck during the team's 33-31 preseason victory over the Washington Redskins on Aug. 18. Hardin went to tackle Redskins tight end Logan Paulsen, and used poor technique in doing so. He lowered his head at the point of impact which is what kids are told never to do when they're first learning how to play football.
