Brandon vs. Timmy

Congratulations to Brandon Webb for posting his 1,000th career strikeout on his first K of the game Saturday during the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-3 victory over fellow ace Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants.
Webb fanned eight and allowed three runs on four hits over seven innings for his third straight decision and 14th win, which leads the majors. Still rolling.
Lincecum struck out a career-high 13 in seven innings -- the sixth time he's recorded 10+ Ks -- leaving the hill without walking a batter for a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately for him, Chris Young and Conor Jackson took Giants reliever Tyler Walker for the lead before Chad Tracy made it 5-3 with a sac fly off Jack Taschner.
Maybe next time, little buddy.
