Brangelina 'Officially' Split, According to 'Enquirer'

The National Enquirer reports that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are about to announce an official split, after months of speculation about their relationship raveling at its seams.

The couple - which ranks very high on Zimbio's list of the 100 Hottest Celebrity Couples - has a brood of six, but has never married.

The Enquirer, which has been right about a few things before (namely Sen. John Edwards' affair with Rielle Hunter), reports that Brad and Angelina will be taking time off from their relationship in the hopes of making things work eventually. An insider told the tabloid:
They will make it official. It looks like Brad will be shooting two movies in California and in the Amazon, while Angelina is retreating to their French chateau with the rest of the family. It seems like the Enquirer is taking advantage of the couple's busy work schedules to give its story validation, does it not? Still, the insider claims, "Brad and Angelina will make appearances together from time to time, and he'll meet up with the kids when he can. But make no mistake, this is a major split."

A major split that will likely be hard to differentiate from the stories that have been fueling the sale of InTouch for years, now.
