Jets won’t rule out bringing back Braylon Edwards

By Robert D. Cobb on  From profootballzone.com
According to Bob Glauber of Newsday, New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum indicated during Thursday’s pre-draft press conference that they haven’t ruled out bringing back wide receiver Braylon Edwards. Tannenbaum talked about how much he loves Edwards’ intense practice habits and then said, I would not rule him out.” The Jets need to bring in a receiver that can play alongside Santonio Holmes with Plaxico Burress not coming back.  If they’re not able to acquire a receiver in the...Read Full Story

Braylon Edwards donates money from slander law suit

By Robert D. Cobb on  From profootballzone.com
According to TMZ.com, after settling a slander law suit, NFL wide receiver Braylon Edwards has decided to donate the money he ended up receiving. Edwards filed a $14 million suit against a Detroit restaurant and some of their employees for slander and extortion back in 2011.  He claimed their false accusations about him being involved in a bar fight cost him millions of dollars that he would have earned as a free agent. Edwards ended up settling the issue out of court and took the money and...Read Full Story

What Is It With Jets Fans and Braylon Edwards?

By JohnnyFiveOh on  From turnonthejets.com
Ever since it became apparent Braylon Edwards wasn’t coming back to the New York Jets this past off-season, fans have been clamoring for his return to the team. I am consistently surprised by how frequently Edwards is mentioned by so many different fans on Twitter or Facebook, or in different articles mentioning the Jets needs on offense. Many people who don’t follow the Jets are perplexed by a desire to have Edwards on their team. The common thought process on him is that he is an overhyped...Read Full Story

A Few Words On Braylon Edwards and Kyle Wilson

By JohnnyFiveOh on  From turnonthejets.com
Two of the more contentious debates among Jets fans this off-season is whether to focus on keeping Braylon Edwards or Santonio Holmes at wide receiver and if the team can afford to let Antonio Cromartie leave via free agency because of the presence of Kyle Wilson. Personally, I have came down on the side of signing Holmes over Edwards and that bringing Cromartie back is a must. This isn’t an indictment on the type of year Edwards had in 2010 and Wilson’s future as a NFL cornerback. Edwards...Read Full Story

Hope after Beverly Hills DUI Arrest? Redemption is Possible – Just Ask the 49-ers’ Braylon Edwards

By Michael Kraut on  From losangelescriminaldefenseattorneyblog.com
Getting arrested for driving under the influence in Beverly Hills is zero fun. Contrary to popular perceptions, drivers who violate California Vehicle Code Section 23152(a) or 23152(b) are often acutely remorseful, scared, and dismayed by their actions, even hours after an arrest. And while some DUI defendants certainly “fit the stereotype” many people have, the reality is that defendants are diverse and come from all over the community. One common thread among Beverly Hills DUI defendants...Read Full Story

As Football Gets Closer…

By JohnnyFiveOh on  From turnonthejets.com
For a refreshing change of pace, the news associated with the NFL Lockout today seems to be positive. Maybe I am being an optimist but from everything being reported today, I’d be shocked if NFL free agency wasn’t kicking off within the next couple of weeks. A few of the more interesting tidbits coming out of the today’s discussions were the following: Starting in 2012, there is going to be a full 16 game Thursday night schedule to help generate revenue. The players apparently are going to...Read Full Story

A Quick Defense Of Braylon Edwards

By JohnnyFiveOh on  From turnonthejets.com
Hard not to get frustrated when you read analysis like this of a player who you watched every snap of last season and saw the exact opposite – Bill Barnwell at Grantland “Braylon Edwards has built his argument for being a great pro receiver upon being selected in the top five by the Browns after a very good college career and a huge four-game stretch against terrible pass defenses in 2007. He’s a highlight-reel player, but he doesn’t run great routes and drops way too many passes to justify a...Read Full Story

Braylon Edwards Gay Claims MediaTakeOut; Car Crash with Male Companion

By evalynnsaeyang on  From gather.com
Braylon Edwards might be gay? Media Take Out is making a serious claim this time, but the tabloid site also has an ultra juicy tale to go along with their claim. And yes, boys and girls, the tale they have spun is very interesting and even believable.Apparently, Braylon, who is a wide receiver for the New York Jets, got into a car accident a couple of nights ago at 3:40 AM while he was in Detroit. That's bad enough, right? Nope, because Media Take Out claims that Edwards and the male...Read Full Story

Braylon Edwards a Question Mark for Sunday’s Game with Cleveland

By Cartman on  From 49ersgab.com
Jim Harbaugh says he is less optimistic about wide receiver Braylon Edwards returning from right knee surgery Sunday against his former Cleveland team. Edwards returned to practice Tuesday for the first time since his injury early in the game Sept. 18 against Dallas, the lone loss for San Francisco (5-1) so far. While he looked to be running and cutting well during the short portion of the workout open to the media, Harbaugh said Wednesday there still needs to be “more evaluation” of Edwards...Read Full Story

Braylon Edwards

By Noorul Shafiq on  From hotusanews.us
Braylon Edwards Wide receiver Braylon Edwards will no longer be a New York Jets after the company ran into financial limitations following the five-year deal they signed with Santonio Holmes on Wednesday which allegedly cost the club $50 million. After the large sum of money was given to Holmes it was Edwards who came out later that same day and said he wanted to stay with the Jets but feared his days were numbers with such a large amount being paid to one player. Edwards told in a Tweet: “I...Read Full Story
