Back in April it was reported that The Crazies director, Breck Eisner would be directing the remake of Escape from New York. Now it seems he may want to cast his Crazies star, Timothy Olyphant as Snake Plissken. BRECK EISNER, director of this week's new release The Crazies about townsfolk driven mad by a virus, is also set to steer a new version of Flash Gordon on to the big screen. He has updated Collider on the project, which is being written for Sony by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Breck Eisner’s remake of The Crazies wasn’t half bad, but his latest project, Blood of the Innocent, sounds very, very cool indeed. Imagine a movie featuring both Dracula and Jack the Ripper in a Victorian-set tale of, well, blood and guts. Variety report the production has received firm financial backing from Inferno Entertainment with Circle of Confusion producing the gig.
