Brenda Belton pleads guilty

Brenda Belton was the executive director of D.C.'s Office of Charter School Oversight until she was caught stealing federal funds that were supposed to go to D.C. school students.

Belton pleaded guilty to 4 felony charges, including 2 counts of "Theft from a Program Receiving Federal Funds" and one count each of federal and D.C. tax evasion.
