Brendan Adams is only 14, and he's already 7 foot 5 inches -- making him the world's tallest teen, according to Guinness World Records. He's always towered over his classmates, and now he's finally gotten medical clearance to join them on the football field. Brendan, who lives near Seattle, has a body full of tumors, bad arthritis, and a heart arrhythmia, so it's been a struggle to get there.

He can't run anymore, he told ABC (via
parentdish.com), but the middle school team has come up with a special play for him: He just goes about 5 yards out on the field, holds up his arms, then catches the ball after the quarterback lobs it to him. Since he's so much taller than everyone else, it's a pretty foolproof move. It's the "secret weapon," his team says.
Brendan told his story on
Oprah last year, and she introduced him to
Shaquille O'Neal, who told him: "Just keep your back straight and have fun."
