Alphas Season 1 Episode 9 Review: Brent Spiner and Rebecca Mader Guest-Star In A Shake Down at movie&tvshow
After a week break, Alphas returned with a new episode, “Blind Spot” a terrific that was graced by the presence of two guest stars who are also sci-fi favorites, Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation) and Rebecca Mader (Lost). Also it was announced earlier today that Alphas will be renewed for a second season, making every hint of Red Flag that much more important moving forward.
Spiner is wheeled into the office as Dr. Kern, an obstetrician, restrained by Cameron (Warren Christie) and Nina (Laura Mennell). Kern is a suspected Red Flag associate and potential alpha. Again Nina’s powers are rendered useless because Kern is legally blind and is missing his optic nerve. As Kern is pushed down the hallway, we are led to believe that something or someone may have followed them. But there’s no trace of anyone. Could it be a ghost? Could Kern extend himself beyond his body? Or does he have telekinetic powers?
