Country music legend Dolly Parton and Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine have added their names to the celebrities paying tribute to Whitney Houston.

The country singer, who wrote Houston's massive hit I Will Always Love You, released a statement revealing she was heartbroken.

Parton wrote, "Mine is only one of the millions of hearts broken over the death of Whitney Houston. I will always be grateful and in awe of the wonderful performance she did on my song, and I can truly say from the bottom of my heart, 'Whitney, I will always love you. You will be missed.'"

Meanwhile, Jackson, who helped music mogul Clive Davis develop young Houston at the beginning of her recording career, phoned in to CNN from Istanbul, Turkey and stated, "This is tragic for me."

Jackson, who lost his brother Michael in 2009, added, "I'm devastated because we go way back… She was a voice that the world enjoyed hearing."

And he revealed Houston had offered her support to him and his family after the King of Pop passed away.

Jermaine added, "She called me and she was there for me… She was very, very sweet."

He also recalled Houston had provided backing vocals to his song Sweetest Sweetest, which was a number one hit in Russia.

Music mogul Tommy Mottola also offered his tribute to CNN, calling Houston "one of the greatest treasures to the world," and adding, "She was what I consider the gold standard."

And Twitter.com tributes continued to flood in through the night, with stars like Bret Michaels, Slash and TLC star Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas offering their thoughts.

Michaels wrote, "A legend with the voice of an angel, she will be missed," while Chilli added, "I can't believe this news about Whitney Houston..I am so upset, i loved her very much and I'll never forget her….another Angel gone 2 soon." Slash revealed he was "shattered" by the sad news and Jane Fonda posted, "Stunned by #Whitney's death. So sad. Going to Clive's pre-Grammy party. She was his darling. Whew."

Meanwhile, it'll be some time before Houston's godmother Aretha Franklin offers her thoughts. A brief statement from the Queen of Soul reads, "I just can't talk about it now. It's so stunning and unbelievable."

Houston died on Saturday afternoon while preparing for an appearance at Davis' annual pre-Grammy Awards party at the Beverly Hilton hotel in California.
