Brett Favre is a living legend who just retired from the Green Bay Packers. He passed for 442 touchdowns (an NFL record), earned 3 MVP awards, had 160 wins as a starting quarterback, and 5,377 pass completions.

ESPN.com cited anonymous sources in reporting that the extension will carry through the 2013 season. One of the biggest things I enjoy is when we justify another person's actions because they are older, or they have a lot of money, or better yet they have a prestigious position. This is always apparent when discussing professional teams moving in sports. Always at the core of a certain team moving is an owner who's dubious actions are justified because he's a seasoned veteran who knows how things work. Or better yet we justify them because, 'hey he's just trying to make some money!" See that... Read Full Story

Favre said he was hurt in practice while rolling out during a drill two weeks ago and aggravated the injury in pregame warmups at Green Bay on Nov. 1. The Vikings didn't play last week, giving their 40-year-old quarterback extra time to heal. "It was a concern for the game. I made it through. With a week's rest I think I'll... Read Full Story

His current deal runs through 2010.
Citing an unidentified source, ESPN.com reported that the extension would keep Childress in Minnesota through the 2013 season... Read Full Story

Vikings Owner and President Mark Wilf said Tuesday the franchise has received the boost it was looking for when it signed Brett Favre and made it clear the quarterback would be welcomed back in 2010 to play the second season of the two-year, $25 million deal he received in August.
This comes as no surprise, given the Vikings are 8-1 and atop the NFC North in large part because of Favre’s performance. The 40-year-old Favre has an NFL-leading 107.5 passer rating and has thrown 17... Read Full Story
