GREEN BAY, Wis. - Despite two losses to Brett Favre and the division rival Minnesota Vikings in the first half of the season, at least the Green Bay Packers were beating the teams they're supposed to.  

The Minnesota Vikings brought a souvenir back from their midseason vacation: an even bigger lead in the NFC North. The latest sign of how well this Brett-Favre-at-quarterback season is going for the Vikings came on Sunday, when Green Bay and Chicago both lost and dropped three games behind Minnesota (7-1) with eight weeks left.  

On Sunday, quarterback Brett Favre one of the greatest players in Packers history will lead their bitter rivals the Minnesota Vikings into Lambeau Field. A storm that started brewing over four days in the late summer of 2008 isnt over yet.  

Brad Childress came under a bit of fire in Week Eight as it was revealed that Vikings QB Brett Favre had played through a groin injury while leading his team to victory over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Favre was not listed on the injury report, even as probable, and it is against league rules for any athlete injury to be hidden, possibly keeping the other team at a competitive disadvantage. If Brett Favre had only stayed retired when he first retired, he would have been the most beloved Packer of them all, not only because hed be 40 years more recent than any of the stars of the Lombardi years but because the Lombardi players loved Brett, too.  

Sunday was a day of terrible inner strife. GREEN BAY For the second time in less than a month, Brett Favre sliced up his former team and stuck it to the franchise that cast him aside as the Minnesota Vikings beat the Green Bay Packers 38-26 at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
