Broncos strong safety Brian Dawkins’ contract was restructured Friday evening according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post. He will be the Broncos’ starting strong safety this year. Dawkins was due a $6 million base salary this year. “When I signed this deal I knew what it was,” Dawkins said. “It was basically a two-year deal. The Eagles defense dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday. After a rough game last week, Jim Johnson devised a terrific scheme to stifle the Steelers offense. Johnson dialed up the blitz all game long, and it was extremely effective.
