Quote:Sisters is the first Hitchcock homage that Brian De Palma directed, and it’s a doozy. There are scenes in any horror film that put the viewer on edge. Right before the slasher slashes his victim or before the monster eats his prey, a good director will rile us up. Well this is a turn up for the books. Brian De Palma looks to have bagsied the director’s chair for low-fi ghost shocker, Paranormal Activity 2 – or he’s at least in contention. Things have been quiet for the Hollywood master stylist since he pissed off everybody with the grotesque and downright anti-American, Redacted, a couple of years back. Brian De Palma's The Black Dahlia comes out on Blu-Ray this week, but I doubt that it's going the be the second chance the film deserves. Released in 2006, the film received generally unfavorable notices and audience response, but it has basically one major problem: it's not L.A. Confidential. That movie was written by Curtis Hanson and Brian Helgeland, based on the James Ellroy novel, and it remains a superb model of adaptation. It's an incredibly smart, literate script and a very good film...Read Full Story

I don’t know about you, but I lizzed a few times while reading their work. Lets hope...
