Bristol Palin Breakup

. (Getty Images)more pics » Mercede's MySpace profile picture. Star magazine claims Bristol Palin, 18, and Levi Johnston, 19, have split. Bristol and Levi made headlines in September, when it was announced the eldest daughter of vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin was pregnant with Johnston's child.

Levi's sister Mercede told Star that Bristol refuses to allow Levi contact with his own child, Tripp, who was born in late December. She said:
Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible. She tells him he can't take the baby to our house because she doesn't want him around 'white trash'!" Bristol won't even allow him to watch the baby for a few hours -- unless he's babysitting!
Mercede also claims that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin supports her daughter's treatment of Levi.

Mercede made internet headlines a few months ago, when Gawker discovered a posting of hers on MySpace that claimed Gov. Palin considered Levi's family 'white trash' and would not let Mercede or her mother see the baby.
