Sarah Palin 'Disappointed' With Levi Johnston's Tyra Interview

This Levi Johnston situation is really turning into a Jerry Springer episode. In a statement released by a Palin family represenatative over the weekend, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin all but calls Johnston and his family white trash for dishing on his relationship with Bristol Palin to talk show host Tyra Banks.

Levi said during the interview that he thinks Sarah knew that he had been sleeping with her teenage daughter, and that the two practiced "mostly" safe sex before she became pregnant with son Tripp. The two reportedly split up in March.

People.com reports that family representative Meghan Stapleton issued the following statement on the appearance:
Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We're disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship.

Bristol's focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence. It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child.
