How to connect to the internet using a USB Dongle
USB dongles are small gadgets which help you connect to your PC using the Universal Serial Bus (USB) port for data transfer. But nowadays, these serve many more service to their users. Previously, dongles used to be the device used only for the authorisation or endorsement of parts of application programs. But nowadays, these usb dongles are now very prominent among the versatile users on the go, as they provide many extra features to the computers they are connected to. Huge amounts of data transfer is possible through them in a very fast and convenient way and so, dongles are now used widely as data transfer devices, wifi connectivity drivers and so on. The USB dongle is available in various models which locate proximate wireless networks with the help of operating system applications and thus connects to the internet. Some of these are available in the form of WI-FI adaptors, which allows to search for and locate nearby wireless connections, and thus connect to the internet. These WI-FI dongles could be bought from various WI-FI USB dongle manufacturers, which means the dongles doesn't always need to belong to specific mobile broadband companies. There is also another form of wireless connection called WIMAX, which is somewhat similar to WI-FI. WIMAX USB dongles are also now widely used throughout the mobile broadband users, as these are much more powerful than the WI-FI ones. The difference is that WIMAX dongles allow wireless accessibility over a much wider range and simultaneously also allows much faster access and high data transfer speeds.
Various mobile broadband companies now provide their own set of USB dongles through which mobile broadband internet connection is possible without the need to connect to a nearby WI-FI hotspot. These specific dongles have some preset functionalities which allows to connect only to the specific mobile broadband internet to which the dongle specifically belongs. These are PLUG-n-PLAY in nature, which means when you connect the dongle to a USB port of your computer or laptop, the dongle is automatically detected and thus installation procedure begins. In order to connect to the internet, you first need to connect the dongle into one of the USB ports of your computer, and then have it installed following the instructions provided by the mobile broadband company. Most of the USB dongles belonging to specific mobile broadband companies have their own software built-in inside the device. Usually, when the dongle is connected to a computer, the installation process runs automatically. After following the required procedures for installation, the dongle is then ready for internet connection. Most of the dongles also require some form of key or password for authorisation, and this information is usually provided by the specific mobile broadband company to which the dongle belongs.
Internet access has become much easier as well as allowing more faster mobile broadband in the current world, as we get to use highly advanced internet accessibility devices such as these USB dongles.
