Bronson Arroyo
Bronson Arroyo is a professional baseball player. He's a right-handed pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds and wears number 61. He is managed by pitching manager Vern Ruhle.
Don't Trade For Bronson Arroyo
There was an article in today's Daily News about the possibility of the Yankees trading for Bronson Arroyo. Arroyo is currently 4-6 with a 5.55 ERA with the Reds, and he's allowed 104 hits in 86 innings pitched. What Brian Cashman and the Yankees need to do is stay away from this bum, he's garbage.
The Yankees have better options within the system; there is no need to trade for a mediocre pitcher from the NL. In the short term the Yankees have Dan Giese, Sidney Ponson, and Jeff Karstens, who I feel can all do a better job than Arroyo. And down the road you have to believe Alfredo Aceves, Dan McCutchen and Alan Horne will also get a chance.
If the Yankees are going to trade for a pitcher it needs to be for a pitcher who is a top of the rotation guy, who can make a major impact on this staff, not a guy who has a 5.55 ERA in the NL. The best move for the Yanks might be not making one.
