The right-hander has been ill for some-more than 10 days with flulike symptoms. He pronounced on Friday that he got blood tests and chest X-rays to see if he has hollow fever, a fungal infection found in dried regions of a Southwest. The mildew is expelled from a dirt and inhaled.
The illness is treated with rest and drugs.
“I’ll be good to go for a season, either a tests are certain or negative,” Arroyo said. “If they’re positive, we can get a right remedy to hit it out.”
Arroyo was scratched from a start on Mar 21 since manager Dusty Baker was endangered about his health. Baker also pushed him behind from second to third in a revolution for a unchanging season, giving him a small additional time to recuperate.
Arroyo threw during a teenager joining diversion Thursday and felt better. He’s going to pull himself as tough as he can in his final open training start and see what happens.
“My final start here on a 29th will be like a initial diversion of a season,” Arroyo said. “I’ll go 100 percent.”
