Megan Fox as Buffy the Vampire Slayer?!?

Oh, hell no!

But unfortunately that is the rumor floating around the Internet today. Thankfully, IGN went right to the source to debunk the rumor. Unfortunately, they ended up bunking it ... you know, kinda confirming it.

"The rumors of Megan Fox being involved with Buffy are just rumors. As with any film project with a female lead under the age of 30, Megan is the actress that most studios want so it is no surprise her name is mentioned. While I think she would be great for our project, we are still in the early stages of developing the script," producer Roy Lee said.

First of all, when did Megan become the go-to under 30 actress everyone wants in their movie? Aside from being a late-night fantasy object, has Megan ever proven herself capable of carrying a movie? I didn't think so.

And Roy, don't think I missed your comment that she would be great for the part. Listen up pal, I have already made my feelings clear that a non-Joss Whedon related "Buffy" film is a horrendously offensive idea, allow me to add that casting Megan would be a cataclysmic mistake.

I'm already anticipating more stake as penis jokes that one person can handle.

Am I just an overzealous fan, or do you agree that Megan would make a terrible Buffy?
