Building a status of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the sea with a cost running into a few hundreds of crores, what is the govt. doing with OUR hard earned money that YOU pay as tax ? It’s building I agree that great heroes should be felicitated but aren’t we going a bit overboard (pun intended) here ? The same money i.e. OUR money can be used for education, health care, public transport and loads of other NECESSITIES. Why is OUR opinion not considered when such random ideas crop up which are clearly politically motivated ? After all, we are paying for it. If you are of the opinion that your money should be used in basic NECESSITIES and not on statues , VOTE YES
