About BGN 40 M will be invested in the modernization of the airport in Bulgaria's second largest city of Plodviv. The news was announced Monday by the Bulgarian Transport Minister Petar Mutafchiev after a meeting of the governing board of the state owned airport company.

Bulgaria's Customs Agency has raised a total of BGN 812,8 M in July, which is 11% more than the planned BGN 732,7 M. The July 2008 customs revenue is almost 30% more than the BGN 627 M, which were raised in July 2007.

91 new hotels were completed in Bulgaria during the second quarter of 2008 according to data of the National Statistical Institute released Monday. Thus, the total number of hotel and hostels in the country has reached 2 643, with a total of 105 500 rooms, and 234 000 beds.
