Burt Reynolds $5 Million Cannonball Run, [Hobe Sound, FL] He was once the biggest star in Hollywood, but that was decades ago. Now 75, actor and cultural icon Burt Reynolds is facing the same problem plaguing many Americans: pending foreclosure.
Up for grabs is “Valhalla,” Reynolds’ five bedroom Intercoastal Waterway-front mansion that sits on 3.4 acres along with two other buildings.
“Extremely desirable private three acre plus estate,” says the listing. “This tropical paradise is an ideal corporate retreat.”
Asking price: $5 million, down from $9 million over the summer.
“(Reynolds) is very motivated to sell,” said JIC Realty‘s Robert Kairalla, the man responsible for selling the landmark property, which Reynolds has owned since 1980, according to WPTV. It includes a movie theater (of course), a pool, boat dock, billiard room, wine room and an indoor waterfall.
Burt Reynolds was a household name in the ’70s and early-’80s starring in such big-screen blockbusters as Deliverance (1972), Smokey and the Bandit (1977), The Cannonball Run (1981) and Semi-Tough (1977). He was also a hit at home on TV’s Evening Shade from 1990-1994.
