So, Mr. Bush is meeting with the G8 members, trying to sell them on the idea we’re really, really, really the good guys. At the same time, he’s trying to convince ol’ Vladimir that he has nothing to fear from the new defensive satellite system he wants to put in Europe. My question is, will any of them buy anything he’s trying to sell them? I have to say, I really doubt it. This is the man who has been lying like a rug since he began running for office back in 1999, the same one who’s lies have been ratcheted up exponentially as ... Read Full Story

Yep, it’s me. Sorry for being away so long, but life happens, you know? Anyway, I’m back, and hopefully I’ll have something to say that you’ll find interesting…..or not. I find there’s not much to say about Bush and Co these days. It’s not a lot of fun heaving bricks at a pathetic fool that’s managed to shoot his own feet off every time he opened his mouth. What on earth is wrong with today’s Republicans? Can’t they think for themselves? Can they only see things in a dark and ugly way? Are their lives so bleak and ugly that they simply can’t believe other’s aren’t the same? I don’t know, but the last couple of days really have me stymied. Nancy Pelosi backed Jack Murtha for “second-in-command” of the House Democrats instead of Steny Hoyer, and you’d think she’d pulled out a gun and blown her own foot off. I just don’t get it. She backed a good friend, someone she feels comfortable working with and who’s loyalty she totally trusts, ... Read Full Story

I just spent an interesting morning listening to the Senate Armed Services Committee digging for answers from a couple of “experts” on the Iraq war, one of which was Gen. John Abizaid, Commander of the US Central Command. I have to tell you, the tap-dancing was a wonder to behold on both accounts, and I feel it was a morning well spent. I was struck most by the covert admission by the Gen. that at least one part of Bob Woodward’s book, State of Denial, got it right. Oh, I know, those of you who also watched it are probably scratching your heads, trying ... Read Full Story
