With Ebay growing every year so are the number of buyers therefore reducing your chance of a last minute bargain. But there are ways to catch yourself a bargain.
1. -Follow listings which end late at night- Busy people only have time to list their items late at night, therefore the finishing times will be the same - LATE!. so while everyone is sleeping you grab your bargain.-
2. - The best bargains are those that allow you the option to pick up the goods. Narrow down your search to show listings of items within your postcode by sorting the search results to "nearest first".
3. - Keep in mind "Free Postage" doesn't always mean your saving on postage, sellers usually include postage in the bidding price and advertise it as "free". You'll also notice listings with a low starting price but very high postage - this is due to a % of the sold price going to Ebay and sellers try to avoid these fees by decreasing the bidding price and bumping up the postage.
3. - You'll be surpised how many listings have no bids or have been skipped in search results as sellers either list their items in the wrong catagories, or have spelling errors. To ensure all listings are shown in your results, base your search not on the item but the category.
4. Once you've gone through all the listings that interest you, check Ebay on a daily basis of "newly listed" items - to make it easier to follow items with spelling errors, wrong category or sellers who undervalue their item.
