It's judgement day for
Byron Scott, as the coach has been released from his position as the coach of the New Orleans Hornets. This comes after the Hornets have gotten off to a truly miserable 3-6 start.

The news is surprising, considering the progress made by Scott last year. He won NBA Coach of the Year, after taking the Hornets (aided by point guard
Chris Paul) all the way to the playoffs, before being defeated by the
San Antonio Spurs.
His replacement,
Jeff Bower, in the general manager, and will move Tim Floyd in as his top assistant. He'll be dealing with the serious issues the Hornets have on the floor, including a shallow bench and poor offensive production.
