The Foundation Of A Good Web Site

I just put up a new site that is Google and social media friendly. You can find it at Perfect Baton Rouge Real Estate this is a Word Press blog but I will be using it as a static site.  It leads to my blog for buyers and sellers I will be doing several weekly updates with various videos and posts.

In a previous post I wrote about selecting a domain name based on what people are searching for. So notice Baton Rouge Real Estate in the domain name. This is one of the most searched for real estate terms in Baton Rouge. You can use the same principle when you set up a new Website in your local area.

Another thing that I will do is to take my list of 40 of the most popular searched keywords and create a new page for each one of them. This will build a more credible site over time in Googles eyes. And those are some important eyes to have favor with.

The basic structure and concept of the structure of this site will be search engine friendly because of these reasons:

  • It’s a Word Press blog
  • It has all of the seo friendly plug-ins
  • The domain name is relevant
  • Each page name is relevant
  • The content on each page is relevant and keyword rich
  • The videos that I do will have relevant tags
  • The social media that I do will have relevant keyword tags

The above mentioned are an important part of getting your site placed high in the search engines but it’s not all.

I am also going to do a lot of testing, and tracking, so I can make the proper changes based on what my visitors want and eventually enjoy a lot of leads from a highly converting site.

There are some really great tools available that help with conversion and I will share my case studies on that in the near future.

If conversion is not high on your list of things to focus on be sure to subscribe to this blog and check out my posts on conversion. This is where the rubber meets the road. You can have the prettiest, most expensive site in the world and you can even spend a fortune on Adwords and SEO to get traffic to it but if you don’t offer what people want and if you can’t turn visitors into closings you lose!

Til next time Have a great day
