The CEO of Parker-Hannifin Corp. received compensation in fiscal 2009 valued at $9.1 million, 6.3 percent less than the previous year's compensation, according to an Associated Press calculation of figures filed with regulators. The reduced compensation came as the recession slashed profit for the Cleveland-based maker of motion and control systems. Parker (PH), formerly Parker Hannifin , today announced that for the Q2 2009 period ending December 31, 2008 its revenues were $2.68 billion. This represented a 5% decline from the $2.82 billion in revenues that the company realized in the same period a year ago.
Net income fell 26.7%, to $155.4 million, from $211.9 million in Q2 2008, while earnings per share dropped 22%, to $0.96, from $1.23 in the year ago period.
