Semiconductor maker Advanced Micro Devices Inc. announced plans Thursday to consolidate the number of data centers it has around the world with help from cloud and hardware upgrades, Computerworld reports.
Along with cutting costs, the company said it will reduce the number of data centers it has from 12 to three by 2014 — two in North America and one in Asia.
