there are several places where folk can save money on a wide range of products in most communities if folks are prepared to research. One of the first places to look is the big nationwide, discount chains : Wal-Mart, Target and K-Mart. Wal-Mart has inexpensive prices on a lot of items, but contrary to its advertising usually does not have the lowest costs around. The costs at Wal-Mart are bounteous but on most products they’re just a few cents cheaper than those at regular grocery and drug stores. Wal-Mart stores can be crowded and are sometimes untidy. A prominent problem I have with Wal-Mart is the absence of cashiers which often makes a fast checkout most unlikely. Wal-Mart Stores infrequently offer specials on individual items and do have reasonable costs on certain products. Target stores are cleaner, more classy and better arranged than Wal-Mart’s. The prices at Target are about the same as Wal-Mart, but they don’t have as many specials. One of Target’s best features is that it sometimes has plenty of assistants available in its stores. K-Mart’s prices are satisfactory, but its stores can be untidy and disorganized. K-Mart frequently has a dearth of assistants, and other staff. A massive advantage to K-Mart is that it now has a collection of top quality seals products including Craftsman tools and Kenmore appliances. The Walgreen pharmacy chain offers a large choice of products at some good costs. One advantage to Walgreen is its new discount card program and coupon deals. Walgreen offers lots of specials and coupon deals which are heavily advertised in paper fliers and the group’s site. One store that’s becoming more popular is dollar stores. These are low end bargain stores that sell items at the smallest price possible. They were originally called dollar stores because they did not sell anything over a dollar. Some chains like greenback Tree and the ninety nine Cent Store stick to this policy, but others like Family Dollar and Big Lots have a wide range of prices. These stores can sell items at decent prices because they typically get unsold products from other chains and manufacturers. These stores also sell plenty of minor brands and less expensive products. Club stores like Sam’s Club and Costco offer some real brilliant bargains, but there are some major drawbacks. An individual has to purchase a membership which usually costs between and 0 to buy there. Selection can be limited, and items are usually available only in amounts too giant to be used by the average family. Sam’s Club can be real cluttered, and it generally does not have items available at standard stores. The key to saving cash when you shop is to shop around and visit a number of different stores.
