NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — A shareholder proposal to require Exxon Mobil Corp. to prepare a report on risks associated with hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking, failed to pass Wednesday by a vote of 29% in favor and 70% opposed, according to preliminary results at the oil major’s annual meeting.
