Kindle Fire competitor: Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

The competition for the best e-book reader sure is tough with Amazon and Barnes Noble (BN) in the lead with their Kindle and Nook devices respectively. Both has recently released a tablet e-book reader as well on which Amazon’s version is called the Kindle Fire while BN has a model called Nook Tablet. Kindle Fire has really gained a lot of publicity as compared with the Nook Tablet but how would the competing device actually fare with Amazon’s device?

First of all, it costs $249 which is $50 more expensive than the Kindle Fire that is sold for $199. The dimension of the Nook Tablet is also somewhat similar with the Nook Color which can be considered its predecessor.

Inside the Nook Tablet is a 1GHz dual-core processor which can be considered as a standard for most tablets in the market today. In addition to that, it also sports a 1GB and with these two factors coupled together, the BN Nook Tablet is definitely a fast device.

In addition to that, there are also changes made to the software as well. It has more features as compared with the old Nook Color. For example, clicking more will result in results from NetFlix picks as well. All in all, it is a powerful device which is comparable with the Kindle Fire but the price still remains a determining factor.
