Srinivas Vadlamani, the chief financial officer of Satyam , who is also allegedly involved in the IT company’s financial fraud, attempted suicide early morning, say unconfirmed market sources but is, however, safe. Disgraced former Satyam chairman Ramalinga Raju in his letter to SEBI and board of directors admitting fraud, had not absolved the CFO. His name is the only one missing from Raju's list of those who are unaware of the real situation. Interim CEO Ram Mynampati said that Vadlamani had put in his papers. Satyam Computer’s suspect CFO Vadlamani Srinivas was arrested on Saturday (Jan 10). Earlier, he was taken into custody by Andhra Pradesh police’s Criminal Investigation Department in Hyderabad on Saturday.      Srinivas was picked by the CID sleuths from Madhapur and taken to the state police headquarters where the investigation team has been interrogating him. CID sources had said Srinivas might be officially shown as “arrested” either late in the night or Sunday morning after the preliminary interrogation. Dan Martin has an interesting story from France about Flamel CFO Michel Finance (yes that really is his name) who was presenting at the CFO Congress. He says: “CFO should stand for Chief Communication Officer,” he declared.
