Kerala Urban Development Society (KUDS) Objectives and Membership details
Kerala Urban Development Society (KUDS) is a non profitable organization registered under the Travancore – Cochin literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955, that promotes the stock of basic facilities and capital equipment needed for the functioning of urban areas in the State of Kerala. KUDS is committed to constitute a sphere for mutual or reciprocal action with project developers and promoters. We are equipped to assist numerous governmental and non governmental development agencies to get the best of the investment they put for their urban development strategies. The type of organizations to which we shall offer assistance for planning development strategy include KSEB, PWD, RBDCK, NHAI, Cochin Corporation, GCDA, GIDA, Housing Board and similar organization and many others. KUDS is entrusted to machinate executable proposals for infrastructure projects by many of.such.organizations.
KUDS devises an elaborate and systematic plan of action for infrastructure development with the involvement of Public and Private partnership in Kerala and Cochin in particular. The KUDS strategy, delineates cities with properly maintained wider roads, adequate supply of electricity and power, drainage and Sewage facilities, Footpaths, Inter-linking lanes, green avenues, multi level parking facilities, drinking water supply, public utility stations, properly set signal systems, dwellings for the middle and lower income category, community centres, Bridges, flyovers and rail over bridges, Railway infrastructure etc. We also assist city planners for city beautification programs along with Promotion of ecotourism, preservations of parks, etc. Our service let the city to have better educational and healthcare facilities; medical, wellness and tooth tourism; telecom and global networking, water transport facilities like water buses, water planes and water taxies etc. In effect, we undertake projects for City planning and design, Transportation Designing, Heritage conservation, Heritage tourism promotion, Pollution / carbon emission control, Sports.and.Entertainment.facilities.etc.
KUDS also maintains a will to strategise agro product showcasing & marketing, providing cost free Wi-Max connectivity within the city, nurturing the use of Alternate Dispute Resolution and disaster management, Pushing cultural exchange programs, and public life oriented industrial and medical research, encouraging Social awareness programs and campaigns like legal literacy and social literacy, Preserving Cultural identity, Historical monuments and Heritage buildings, furthering Climate protection campaign, upgrading GPS technology to control and manage mosquito population, for street dog sterilisation, criminals and criminal activities etc.

KUDS has also dedicated itself to channel public forums, seminars and town hall meetings on city developmental issues. We organize fund raising programmes and public auctions with the approval of the authorities and foster social enterprises.
KUDS have organized a youth wing called the Association of Young and Progressive Indian Citizens, to make the youth aware and to make them carry the future. KUDS devises an elaborate and systematic plan of action to make AYPIC one of the largest youth organisations in India for social, cultural and political reform. Membership age shall be 10 years to 45 years.
KUDS always find pleasure to swallow ideas, suggestions, feedback, proposals etc from local, national and international levels through sources such as Printing media, internet, electronic media, email, Public forum, discussion boards on websites etc. KUDS is managed by a governing council and offer membership to the people with charitable intentions in 3 ways. Any Indian Citizens, NRI’s, PIO’s, OCI’s, and other like minded individuals etc can enroll themselves as a member of KUDS by paying membership fees. Membership fees Indian residents is Rs.1000 & for NRI’s is USD110. The heads of the some of the similar minded organizations have been given ex officio membership. The represents of corporate also can join us by following certain defined conditions.
Donations are accepted from individuals and corporates in India and abroad with bonafide intention of participating in the above mentioned developmental activities of KUDS.
