COCHIN

Cochin (Kochi), Kerala – Day Two

We needed to use up the data credit on our Vodafone India account before it ran out, and Laura was more then happy to oblige so she stayed at Arches Hotel uploading photos to Instgram and messaging her friends while I went roaming round Fort Cochin for a couple of hours. I did not discover anything of major interest, apart from a restaurant menu at the Fort House Hotel/Restaurant that held promise, and even more so because the restaurant was closed at lunch time for a private function and I thought this would mean a good turn over of food in the kitchen.

I returned to the hotel via the the XL bar where I got chatting with a guy from South Africa. Back at the hotel Laura had done all of her computer stuff, so we both decided on a long siesta.

Well rested, we took a slow stroll along to the Fort House Hotel/Restaurant for dinner. I had the house steak and Laura had a Prawn, ginger and garlic curry dish. Both tasted great, but not so great for Laura in the middle of the night when she awoke in a lot of pain with food poisoning. Needless to say we will not be returning to the Fort House Hotel/Restaurant.
