Virginia Tech Down a Few Players
Earlier this week, Virginia Tech announced that senior guard Dorenzo Hudson would be eligible for a medical redshirt. Hudson injured his foot last season and has recurring issues with the foot ever since. Hudson played in nine games this season and has averaged 10.4 points per game.
To add to injury woes, Hokie sophomore forward Cadarian Raines will also take a medical redshirt this year. Raines also suffered a foot injury early last year, and had surgery on his fifth metatarsal. He later reinjured the foot and had a second surgery in April of last year, but has not healed as expected.
