The Oklahoma Sooners opened play in the Big 12 Baseball Championship Wednesday with a bang, edging Oklahoma State 1-0. OU's Garret Carey blasted a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth breaking the scoring silence and giving the Sooners its first round win.  

His three-round 214 (-2) was a team-low in the Sooners' lone tournament victory this season at the David Toms Intercollegiate. Oklahoma is looking to return to the NCAA finals for the second consecutive year. It is California or bust for Hybl's squad.
