Guiding Light's Caitlin VanZandt went down by 90 pounds and twelve dress sizes after she underwent lap-band surgery.
VanZandt, who plays Ashlee Wolfe on the long-running CBS soap opera, received the surgery last year. You can see difference in the two pictures above -- the one on the left is from 2007, while the one on the right is from 24th Annual Starlight Children's Foundation Gala on March 5 of this year.
Speaking to People magazine, the 24-year-old actress says she loves her new physique: "I feel much sexier and much happier. I actually buy skinny jeans. It's unbelievable. It's a joy to not have anything hanging over the top of them or squeezing in the multiple butt cheeks." Lap-band surgery is slightly different from stomach stapling surgery, in that not cutting is required. Instead, a device is placed around the stomach that reduces the size of the patient's stomach to about the size of a golf ball.
VanZandt hasn't just relied on the surgery to shed the weight, however, changing her diet to emphasize fish, yogurt, and almonds, as well as doing three 30-minute kettleball workouts every week.
