Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Claire Deschanel (pronounced / ZOE-NEL-ee sh? days, January 17, 1980) is an actress, singer, model and singer songwriter.Zooey Deschanel, Los Angeles, California, was born, is the daughter of director of photography / director Caleb Deschanel and actress Mary Jo Deschanel (née Weir). She is from France (from his paternal grandfather) and Irish descent and is the granddaughter of Paul Deschanel, the 11 President of France. She is named Zooey Glass, the male protagonist of JD Salinger short story Franny and Zooey, 1961. Her older sister, Emily Deschanel is an actress and starred in the television series Bones.

Deschanel was living at the bottom of Los Angeles but spent traveling most of her childhood because her father shot films on the scene, said later that she “hated all the traveling I’m very glad I had the experience, but just so sad to leave my friends in Los Angeles and in places where it can not eat like me or the things I was accustomed to. “You grew up in Canada, Yugoslavia, England and South Africa. She attended Crossroads, a private preschool in Santa Monica, California, where he befriended future co-star Jake Gyllenhaal and Kate Hudson. She sang in high school planning to pursue a career in musical theater. He attended Northwestern University for seven months before dropping out to work as an actress.
