San Diego Fire Map, California Wildfire Update
1. Fallbrook Fire - 40,000 residents in Fallbrook are being evacuated.
Residents in the following region are instructed to evacuate west: I-15 on west, Rainbow Valley on the north, Pala Temecula on the East and Pala Rd. on the south.
2. Rice Canyon Fire: east of Interstate 15 and south of Temecula. Currently threatening Fallbrook as it burns Southwest..
3. Caltrans has requested Interstate 15 be closed again.
4. San Diego County: 1/4 million homes evacuated, 7 major fires, 40,000 acres burned. Reportedly getting worse, not better.
5. Witch Fire: burning two directions. To the west and to the south. It has crossed Interstate 15 at Lake Hodges into Rancho Bernardo.
As lalate broke to you earlier, sources say it won’t stop til it gets to the ocean. That would mean it would destroy Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach and Encinitas.
6. Witch Fire region 2: Concern also that the Witch fire may take the same path as the 2003 Cedar fire, south through Wildcat Canyon, Barona, Lakeside and Santee.
Expected to spread to: Otay Lakes and Chula Vista.
7. San Diego. Areas hit hardest include Rancho Bernardo, Santiago Canyon (Irvine), Witch Creek fire, and the Harris fire.
8. Malibu is burning again. Areas have been evacuated include celebrity-filled Malibu Colony and the infamous Malibu Promises rehab center.
